Important Notice on Proceedings
The LEEM/PEEM-11 Workshop Proceedings will be published as a special issue in Ultramicroscopy. This prominent international journal is committed to the advancement of new methods, tools and theories in microscopy. It aims to serve scientists who use existing tools and methods to advance knowledge in their disciplines as well as those who work towards advancing the tools and methods themselves.

Registration will be open from 12:30 – 6:00 pm on 30 Oct. (Tuesday), and from 8:00 am on 31 Oct. (Wednesday). You are encouraged to register on Tuesday afternoon, if possible, in order to avoid a waiting before the start of the workshop on 31 Oct.
Tutorials will be held on 30 Oct. 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm (room to be announced ). Please register before the start of the tutorial session.
A Welcome Reception will be held from 6:00 pm on Tuesday 30 Oct. 2018 in the Radisson Blu Hotel (www.radissonblu.com/chongqing-shapingba). Food and drinks will be served.

LEEM-PEEM is a biennial meeting reviewing the status of LEEM, PEEM, SPLEEM, SPELEEM, XPEEM and related techniques. The meeting promotes and disseminates applications of surface microscopy with low energy electrons to a broad audience of interested scientists.
The workshop highlights the most recent scientific advances as well as instrumental developments. Topics will cover surfaces, thin films, organic films, surface chemistry, magnetism, time resolved methods, instrumental advances and novel applications of LEEM and PEEM to other subject areas.
Program: oral, poster, tutorial sessions
The main scientific program from October 31 to November 3 will feature contributed talks and presentations by several Distinguished Guest Lecturers in a single session format, as well as poster sessions. This will be preceded by a special LEEM/PEEM Tutorial session on October 30, which will provide a unique experience for students and scientists new to the field to learn from Tutorial Instructors who are leading experts in the field. While open to all, participation in the tutorials requires additional registration and space is limited.
